I enjoyed reading the Everett Herald’s May 15 article: “Dam fight grows; Skykomish on list of at-risk rivers”. Because SnoPUD’s proposed project requires a new impoundment, it violates the (I-937) Washington renewable energy standard.

TO Snohomish County Public Utility District Commissioner Kathy Vaughn:
Dear Ms. Vaughn,
I have read with interest the article in the Herald, regarding your 24 year service at PUD. I also have read that you will not state if you are for or against the Sunset Falls Dam project until the studies are done. I am for term limits in all positions of service to the community.

Change needed to end dam plan

It’s obvious that the Snohomish County PUD Commissioners need to change, as they to continue to “study” destroying the Skykomish River by damming it.
